Acts on the endorsement items such as to follow meds, non-formulary drugs, pending TPN preparation, IV admixtures, antineoplastics and galenical preparations and other problems encountered during the shift.
Keeps shelves and the working area clean and orderly.
Checks assigned shelves on availability of drugs for refilling of stocks.
Reviews prescriptions to assure accuracy and to ascertain the needed ingredients.
Dispenses drugs to out-patients and in unit dose drug distribution system to in-patients.
Provides patients with information and other particular pertaining to drugs.
Coordinates with clinical pharmacist regarding non-formulary drugs.
Prepares TPN, IV admixtures ,antineoplastics preparation, aseptically following SOPs and also makes galenical preparation for both in and out patients.
Records all exempt preparations on the book.
Prepares 24-hour medication for Community Center patients.
Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time
