Major Hospitality Client – Java/AWS Developer

Term: 2-year contract (possible extension)

Location: Fully remote

Hours: US (east coast) standard business hours: 9:00PM - 5:00AM PHT

We’re looking for a hands-on Software Developer to architect and build high-performance applications that serve both our guests and internal teams. • Design, implement, and maintain applications using Java, deployed to AWS
• Develop and fine-tune SOAP/RESTful web services for internal tools and customer interfaces
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end software solutions
• Write clear, maintainable code and engage in peer code reviews
• Support system architecture discussions, testing strategies, and deployments
• Help streamline our CI/CD pipelines for seamless releases

Must-Haves

• Solid experience in Java development
• Proven ability to build APIs
• Hands-on familiarity with AWS or another major public cloud, such as Azure or GCP
• Strong grasp of core software engineering practices
• Comfortable working in Agile teams
• Excellent communicator with a knack for problem solving

Nice-to-Haves

• Background in SOAP APIs - development or consumption
• Exposure to loyalty/retention systems
• Experience with Java Springboot
• Familiarity with an IaC tool (we use Chef, but AWS CDK, Terraform, Ansible experience works too)
• Portfolio website, GitHub, and/or LinkedIn showcasing relevant projects
