About the Role

As a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting audits, and ensuring timely accounting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, deadlines, and structured systems—while working 100% remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
• Perform general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing tasks
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Support tax preparation and compliance with local and international regulations
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting
• Conduct basic financial analysis to support business decisions and cost control
• Assist with internal audits and ensure compliance with company policies
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager on process improvements and efficiency initiatives
• Stay updated with accounting regulations and industry best practices

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or equivalent certification is a plus but not required
• 3+ years of experience in general accounting or finance roles
• Strong knowledge of GST, GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Knowledge of manual accounting systems is a must
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills with a high level of integrity and attention to detail
