- Communication management
- Monitor and manage multiple communication platforms including radios, phones, email, chat systems, and internal communication tools.
- Receive, interpret, and prioritize incoming communications from various sources (e.g., field personnel, external agencies, internal departments).
- Accurately record and log all significant communications and events in the command center's tracking systems.
- Disseminate urgent and routine information to appropriate personnel and teams in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
- Initiate and participate in conference calls and communication bridges during incidents.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor during high-stress situations.
- Collect and synthesize data from various sources to create a comprehensive operational picture.
- Identify critical information, potential risks, and emerging issues.
- Prepare and update status reports, incident summaries, and situation briefs for superiors.
- Conduct preliminary analysis of information to determine immediate actions or further investigation required.
- Incident Response Support
- Act as a central point of contact for communication during incidents, emergencies, and planned events.
- Support the coordination of resources and personnel by relaying instructions and updates.
Requisito
- Bachelor's degree in related fields preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications or equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a command center, dispatch, operations center, or similar communication-intensive environment.
- Proven experience handling critical communications during high-pressure situations.
- Experience with incident management plans and protocols is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in professional radio communication etiquette.
- Advanced computer literacy, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with command center technologies, including various communication platforms (Radios)
- Strong active listening skills and the ability to interpret non-verbal cues.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly assess situations and make sound judgments.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work 8AM-5PM
