What you’ll do

Proactive QA During Design & Planning

• Review user stories and design specs to write comprehensive test plans
• Anticipate usability or logic issues and provide early feedback c. Define acceptance criteria and identify edge cases in collaboration with engineers and designers

Manual QA for Internal Builds

• Perform smoke tests, exploratory testing, and regression testing on in-development builds
• Log and triage issues in Jira with clear reproduction steps and severity ratings (P0–P3)

Post-Release QA & Monitoring

• Investigate and validate production bugs and anomalies
• (Bonus) Use analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel) to track user behavior and detect drop-offs or errors
• Recommend improvements to instrumentation and logging for better traceability

Build End-to-End Automated Testing

• Design and implement a test automation framework covering Web, iOS, and Android
• Choose and set up tools like Cypress, Selenium, Appium, Playwright, or Detox, Katalon, tailored to each platform
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Bitrise)
• Write and maintain automated test cases for regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing
• Ensure new features are covered by automation from day one

QA Culture, Process, and Tooling

• Own and evolve QA best practices and documentation
• Maintain a prioritized bug backlog and enforce quality gates during releases
• Collaborate on release checklists and QA sign-offs using tools like Runway
• Champion a quality-first mindset across the organization

What You Bring

• 3+ years of hands-on QA experience in agile or startup environments
• Proven experience designing and implementing automated tests for Web, iOS, and Android
• Proficiency with at least one automation tool for each platform (e.g., Cypress for web, Appium or Detox for mobile)
• Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of manual QA methodologies for multi-platform environments
• Proficiency with Jira, TestRail (or equivalent test management tools)
• Excellent communicator, detail-oriented, and team-first mindset

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with analytics tools like Mixpanel or logging tools like Sentry
• Exposure to mobile test labs (e.g., BrowserStack, Firebase Test Lab)
• Experience with release orchestration tools such as Runway
• Comfort writing simple scripts (e.g., JavaScript, Python) to support test automation
