Description
- Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other materials to construct and repair walls, floors, and other structures.
- Measure and cut materials to precise specifications.
- Prepare mortar, cement, and other mixtures for use in masonry work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
- Ensure the structures are level, plumb, and square.
- Repair or replace damaged bricks, stones, or concrete in existing structures.
- Work closely with other construction workers, including carpenters and electricians, to complete projects.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Adhere to all safety standards and regulations while on the job site.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Mason or in a similar construction role.
- Proficiency in using masonry tools and equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and technical documents.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Safety-conscious and familiar with construction site safety protocols.
