We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mid-Level Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.
Job Summary
The Mid-Level Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the financial health of our projects. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, experience in the construction or engineering sectors, and proficiency in accounting software.
Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage invoicing, process payments to vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensure timely collection of receivables.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with project managers.
Cost Tracking: Monitor and report on project costs, ensuring expenses are within the allocated budget.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and company policies.
Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement best practices.
Maintaining Accurate Financial Records: Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded correctly in the company's ledger.
Bookkeeping: Regularly update books of accounts, such as general ledgers, journals, and trial balances.
Create Invoices: Ensure the invoice includes all necessary details for clarity and proper processing. You can create an invoice using Xero.

Requisito

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction, engineering, or facility maintenance sectors.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software Xero, or similar platforms.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction cost accounting and financial management principles.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Additional Requirements:
Able to make up steps and materials for each job using ChatGPT.
Understand maintenance work logic – how to repair.
Manage incoming and outgoing invoices daily, including tracking how many need to be sent out and how many have already been paid.
Knowledge of maintenance work is a plus.
