Job Description: Accounting Intern

• The Accounting Intern supports the finance department by assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, and data management.
• This role offers exposure to real-world accounting practices and helps build foundational skills for a future career in finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Help prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents
• Update financial data in spreadsheets and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Organize and maintain financial records and filing systems
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes
• Assist with audits, tax preparation, and compliance checks
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding financial matters

Job Qualifications

• Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Experience: No prior experience required; coursework in accounting is preferred
• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus
• Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and eager to learn
