- Transporting goods: Driving long distances or on local routes to pick up and deliver various goods, materials, and products.
- Loading and unloading: Assisting with or supervising the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring it is properly secured to prevent damage.
- Route and schedule management: Planning the most efficient routes and adhering to strict delivery schedules.
- Vehicle maintenance: Performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections, refueling, and reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance personnel.
- Traffic laws: Strictly adhering to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and trucking regulations.
- Safety procedures: Following all safe work practices and company procedures, and following accident protocols if an incident occurs.
