- Support Curriculum & Instructional Excellence
- Co-plan lessons with teachers by participating in discussions, contributing ideas and suggestions for lessons and behaviour support, and carrying out learning activities
- Assist teachers in preparing the learning environments, including preparing materials and resources for teaching and learning.
- Work with teachers to maintain the classroom environment, facilities and other resources for maximum engagement of students in their learning.
- Assist students, individually or in groups, during lesson delivery and help to present or reinforce learning concepts following lesson planning
- Assist with the health, medical, safety and daily living needs of the students.
Requisito
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or an associate degree in education or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of child development and educational practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and classroom management tasks.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing needs in the classroom.
