About the Role:

The IT Security Officer/Manager is responsible for safeguarding Esquire Financing Inc.’s (EFI) information systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This role will oversee the development, implementation, and enforcement of information security policies and procedures, ensuring that the organization remains compliant with relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will proactively manage security risks, lead incident response efforts, and provide ongoing support to ensure the integrity of EFI’s IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Policy Development:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive information security policies, standards, and procedures to protect EFI’s IT infrastructure.

Monitoring & Incident Response:

• Continuously monitor logs, secure networks, servers, endpoints, and applications. Lead the detection, investigation, and response to security incidents.

Vulnerability Management:

• Ensure secure system configurations, manage patching processes, and implement vulnerability remediation strategies.

Audit & Compliance:

• Support internal and external security audits and assessments. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards such as ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and others.

Security Awareness:

• Conduct or coordinate security awareness programs, including phishing and social engineering training for all employees.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

• Work closely with IT, legal, HR, and business units to integrate security measures into daily operations and company-wide initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain up-to-date security documentation and provide regular reports to senior management regarding the security posture of the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT Security, with expertise in securing networks, servers, endpoints, and cloud environments.
• Relevant IT Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, etc.) are preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and industry best practices.
• Experience with security tools for monitoring, incident detection, and vulnerability management (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and securing cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting Salary: Php 135,000 – Php 175,000 (negotiable based on experience)
• Rice Allowance: Php 1,500/month
• Transportation Allowance: Php 150/working day
