As our Media Relations & SEO Specialist, you will be the voice of our client in the design world and a growth engine for our local partners. Your mission is to elevate our client's authority through high-tier media placements and to improve the organic search rankings of our network members through aggressive local backlink strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the Client Interior Design Panel

• Media Outreach: Actively monitor and respond to expert source requests (Connectively, Featured, PressHook, etc.) to secure mentions in publications like Architectural Digest, HGTV, The Spruce, and Real Simple.
• Panel Management: Manage and expand our curated group of interior designers. You will act as the liaison between these experts and the media, ghostwriting authoritative quotes on framing trends, gallery wall layouts, and home styling.
• Thought Leadership: Identify trending topics in home decor and proactively pitch story ideas to editors that position Mountary’s network as the "go-to" experts for high-quality craftsmanship.

2. Local SEO & Authority Building

• Backlink Strategy: Develop and execute a localized link-building playbook for our network members. Your goal is to increase their "Domain Authority" by securing links from reputable local sources.
• Partnership Outreach: Pitch and secure mentions on local news sites, city blogs, non-profit "partners" pages, and school booster club sites.
• Local Content Ideation: Collaborate with our partners to create "linkable" assets—such as local art guides or community framing projects—that naturally attract media attention.

3. Reddit Posting

• Monitor relevant Reddit channels for framing and awning and consistently offer valuable input.

Experience & Requirements

• Background: 2+ years of experience in Journalism, Public Relations, or SEO Content Strategy. A background or deep personal interest in Interior Design is a significant advantage.
• Pitching Prowess: A proven track record of getting stories picked up by editors or securing high-quality backlinks.
• Technical Literacy: Familiarity with SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, or Moz) and media monitoring platforms.
• Communication: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to adapt your "voice" from a technical SEO perspective to a sophisticated design aesthetic.
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: As a key member of a growing network, you must be comfortable with ambiguity and have the drive to build processes from scratch.

KPIs for Success

• Media Placements: Number of quotes and features secured for the Interior Design Panel per month.
• Backlink Volume: Number of high-quality local backlinks generated for our network members.
• Search Visibility: Measurable increase in organic search rankings for targeted local partner keywords.
