**Summary:**

The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving revenue growth by combining technical expertise with sales acumen to promote and sell heavy equipment rental services. This role involves understanding customer needs, providing tailored solutions, and building strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

**Sales and Business Development:**

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the heavy equipment rental market.
  2. Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients through networking, cold calls, and referrals.
  3. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential customers.


**Customer Relationship Management:**

  1. Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
  2. Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  3. Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and identify additional needs.


**Technical Expertise and Support:**

  1. Understand the technical specifications and applications of heavy equipment to recommend the best solutions for clients.
  2. Provide technical demonstrations and training to customers when necessary.
  3. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure equipment availability and readiness.


**Market Research and Strategy:**

  1. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
  2. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  3. Prepare detailed sales forecasts and reports for management review.


**Proposal and Contract Management:**

  1. Prepare accurate and competitive quotations, proposals, and rental agreements.
  2. Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to close deals effectively.
  3. Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.


**Collaboration and Coordination:**

  1. Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and pickup of equipment.
  2. Coordinate with the maintenance team to address any technical issues with rented equipment.
  3. Participate in cross-functional meetings to align sales efforts with operational goals.

**Education:**

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.


**Experience:**

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the heavy equipment or construction industry.


**Skills:**

  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment and its applications.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office tools.
  • Ability to analyze customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

**Work Environment:**

  • Field-based with frequent visits to client sites and project locations.
  • Office-based tasks for preparing proposals, reports, and coordinating with internal teams.
