The Sales Assistant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with product sales, and contributing to the store's overall success. You will help customers with their purchases, maintain stock levels, and ensure the store is visually appealing and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist customers with product selections, ensuring they have a positive shopping experience.
Provide knowledgeable answers to customer questions about products, prices, promotions, and store policies.
Handle customer complaints, returns, and exchanges in a calm and professional manner.
Suggest additional products or promotions to customers based on their needs.
Sales Support:
Actively assist in meeting or exceeding sales targets by promoting products and encouraging customers to make purchases.
Process transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Assist in tracking and achieving sales goals, and report progress to management.
Stock Management:
Monitor stock levels and alert management about low inventory or the need to reorder products.
Ensure products are correctly labeled and properly displayed.
Help with receiving deliveries, unpacking new stock, and organizing products on shelves.
Store Presentation:
Ensure the store is well-organized, clean, and visually appealing at all times.
Assist with visual merchandising, setting up product displays that attract customers.
Ensure shelves are replenished and products are rotated to maintain freshness.
Team Collaboration:
Work with team members and store management to ensure the store operates smoothly.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong sales skills and a proactive approach to driving sales.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and take initiative.
Flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
Previous retail or sales experience is preferred but not always required.
Working Conditions:
The role may require standing for long periods and lifting items as needed.
Shift work, including evenings and weekends, depending on the store’s hours.
