· Acting as a point of contact between customers and companies

· Negotiating terms of sales and agreements and closing sales with customers

· Gathering market and customer information to figure out the customer needs

· Responding to customer queries and resolving their objections to get them to make a purchase

· Advising product developers on improvements to include in forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions

· Creating proposal documents as part of the formal bidding procedure

· Providing customers with detailed and accurate quotations and cost calculations

· Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients (corporate or individuals), vendors and venues

· Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities

· Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones

· Coordinating and planning event details and aspects, including set-up, menu, guests, and other requirements

· Creating reliable financial reports and collecting payments on time

· Remaining under budget with all costs

· Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise

· Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event

· Maintaining a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events

Qualifications

· College graduate, with a degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or project management

· With atleast 1-2 years of experience in Events, Catering, Sales and/or Business Development, preferably in food and beverage establishment, catering company or hotel events

· Great negotiation and presentation skills

· Personable with good communication and interpersonal skills

· Team player
