• Effective implementation of the ASHP
• Achieve a safe and healthy work environment by preventing work hazards and injuries in accordance with the DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) and MGB Mining Safety Standards
• Plans, implements and oversees OHS policies and programs
• Reviews, evaluates, and analyzes work environments and programs to control and prevent disease or injury
• Conduct of safety inspection at the mining and port area
• Educates, informs, and orients employees of safety related topics through actual training in coordination with Human Resources
• Ensure compliance on DOLE and MGB reportorial requirements
• Conducts regular OHS Committee meetings
• Aids in ISO requirements and compliance
• Performs other duties as necessary in meeting the objectives/mission of the department and/or as assigned by superior
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
• Conduct training sessions on safety protocols and emergency response
• Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and improvements
• Coordinate and facilitate emergency drills including earthquake preparedness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering or related field with license
• Min. 1 year experience in Mining Industry
• Requirements as stated in MGB DAO 2000-98
• BOSH Certificate
• Earthquake Drill facilitation
• Strong analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication abilities
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Ability to work in Mining Industry
