Healthcare Coding and Billing Institute (HCBI) is hiring!

We’re looking for a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) with teaching experience to join us as a Project-Based Medical Coding Instructor. This role runs from June 23 to August 20, with weekday classes held on-site in BGC. Shifts may be either 7AM–4PM or 9AM–6PM (includes 1-hour lunch break).

In this role, you'll help aspiring coders succeed in their CPC certification and future careers by delivering engaging, high-quality instruction.

Responsibilities

✔️ Teach structured medical coding sessions based on AAPC standards

✔️ Provide real-world coding guidance and support

✔️ Track student progress and give feedback

✔️ Keep content aligned with current coding updates

✔️ Mentor students toward CPC exam success

✔️ Build a positive and interactive learning environment

Qualifications

? CPC Certification (AAPC) – REQUIRED

? Teaching experience (online or in-person)

? Strong grasp of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II

? Clear communicator, both written and verbal

? Patient, supportive, and passionate about education

? Can simplify complex concepts for learners
