The Sales Analyst is responsible for analyzing sales data, identifying sales trends, and providing insights to help optimize sales strategies. This role works closely with the sales team to forecast sales performance, evaluate sales performance metrics, and support data-driven decisions to achieve business goals.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Data Analysis

  • Collect, process, and analyze sales data from multiple sources (CRM, ERP, market research, etc.).
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights to assist in sales strategy development.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate sales performance.

2. Sales Forecasting and Reporting

  • Support sales forecasting by analyzing historical data and market trends.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Track key metrics such as sales growth, profitability, and sales performance.

3. Market and Competitor Analysis

  • Conduct research on market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities.
  • Provide actionable insights to help the sales team understand market positioning and competitive advantages.

4. Sales Strategy Support

  • Collaborate with sales leaders to develop data-driven strategies and tactics.
  • Identify new sales opportunities based on analysis of past performance and market potential.
  • Support promotional campaigns, pricing strategies, and other sales initiatives.

5. Process Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies in sales processes and recommend improvements.
  • Work with the sales team to optimize CRM usage and data accuracy.
  • Ensure data integrity by maintaining clean, accurate sales records.

6. Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and product teams to support cross-functional projects.
  • Present insights and recommendations to management and sales teams.
  • Train sales staff on analytical tools, CRM systems, and report interpretation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Marketing or a related field
  • 1-2+ years of experience in sales analysis, business analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience in distribution, manufacturing or trading is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SQL, CRM system, Salesforce, Power BI). is a plus
  • Experience with sales analysis, reporting, and forecasting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy in data handling.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Can start immediately.
