Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of drafters.

• Assign projects, review design outputs, and ensure adherence to industry standards and company quality requirements.

• Provide technical guidance and resolve complex design challenges.

Design & Drafting

• Create, review, and send for approval detailed 2D/3D designs and fabrication drawings for racking systems, structural components and solutions.

• Ensure designs comply with engineering specifications, safety codes, and load requirements.

• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and ease of installation.

Project Coordination

• Work closely with sales, project, and production teams to translate customer requirements into practical designs.

• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors to clarify design details and technical specifications.

• Manage design timelines, budgets, and deliverables to meet project milestones.

Software & Technical Expertise

• Utilize AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Tekla for structural and mechanical design.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends, materials, and engineering practices related to warehouse and racking systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical/ Structural Engineering or related field.

• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, with at least 3 years in a senior or role.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Tekla Structures.

• Prior experience in racking systems, warehousing solutions, or structural steel design is highly preferred.

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
