• The Machine Cremation Operator is responsible for operating crematory equipment in accordance with all applicable laws, safety protocols, and company policies. This role ensures that cremation procedures are conducted with dignity, respect, and efficiency while maintaining cleanliness and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cremation machinery and ensure safe and proper handling of human remains.
• Monitor cremation process parameters (e.g., temperature, time) to ensure complete and proper cremation.
• Perform pre-cremation checks and verify all required documentation (e.g., permits, ID tags).
• Maintain accurate cremation logs and records as required by law and company procedures.
• Collect and process cremated remains appropriately, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
• Clean and maintain crematory equipment, facility, and work area regularly.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist with the identification process and tracking of remains throughout the cremation process.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with staff, funeral directors, and other stakeholders.
• Report any equipment malfunction or irregularities immediately to the supervisor.
• Participate in training and development programs as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in cremation services or funeral industry preferred.
• Knowledge of cremation equipment and process is a strong advantage.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
• Ability to handle sensitive and emotional situations with professionalism and empathy.
• Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
