What you'll be doing

1. Assist with the preparation and handling of chemical samples for analysis and testing
2. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and reliable results
3. Conduct routine calibrations, quality checks, and preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment
4. Accurately record and document all testing and analysis data according to established protocols
5. Provide support to the technical team in the execution of various projects and initiatives
6. Ensure the laboratory adheres to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
7. Assist with the organisation and maintenance of the laboratory workspace and inventory

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or degree in a relevant scientific or technical field, such as chemistry, biology, or laboratory technology
2. Minimum 1 year of experience in a laboratory or technical support role, preferably in the chemical industry
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
4. Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment, instruments, and software
5. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
7. Ability to work independently and follow standard operating procedures
