The Inventory & Spare Parts Controller Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the management, control, and distribution of spare parts inventory for SMEG products. This role supervises a team of inventory controllers, ensuring efficient inventory processes, accurate stock management, and timely availability of spare parts to meet service and customer demands. The Supervisor will also work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners to optimize inventory turnover, reduce excess stock, and improve service delivery.


  • Supervise and guide a team of Inventory & Spare Parts Controllers, ensuring effective performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate daily activities of the inventory team, ensuring optimal workload distribution.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of parts and inventory in the system, conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure that spare parts are ordered and delivered according to forecasted demand.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, order fulfillment, stock levels, and supplier performance.
  • Work closely with the service, sales, and technical teams to ensure that spare parts are readily available for customer repairs and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve supply chain issues, delivery delays, and product quality concerns.
  • Handle escalations related to parts shortages or inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements for inventory and parts management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inventory transactions, reports, and audits for internal and external review.

Requisito

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.


Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, spare parts management, or supply chain operations, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in the consumer goods, appliances, or manufacturing industry is preferred.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, or similar platforms).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external suppliers.
  • Knowledge of spare parts and supply chain processes in the appliance or manufacturing industry is a plus.


Other Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and reporting tools.
