Position Title: Information Security Manager

Grade/level: Manager

Job Overview

The Information Security Manager will help design and implement the organization’s cybersecurity plan and manage a team of Information Security personnel in securing Metro Pacific Waters’ information and digital assets.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Help design, implement, and maintain the organization’s cybersecurity plan.
• Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices for the organization.
• Recommend security enhancements to IT management.
• Manage a team of Infosec personnel who will:
• Monitor the organization’s networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur
• Deploy security tools (e.g., firewalls, data encryption), to protect sensitive information.
• Conduct Quarterly Security Health check
• Perform Information Security Risk Assessment
• Help ensure cybersecurity-related audit findings are mitigated

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT-related course
• Must have at least 7 years IT experience, with five years in an Information Security role
• Must have Information Security-related training and certification
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with business managers, IT operations staff.
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal, security and privacy requirements
• A strong understanding of various security tools and technologies.
• Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to develop and guide information security team members
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively within the organization
• Excellent understanding of information security concepts, protocols, industry best practices and strategies.
• Experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 2700x, the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) frameworks
• Must be willing to work in Ortigas/Pasig area.
