What is this role about?

The role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting rotating heavy equipment, including electrical systems, motors, and other key components. This involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, installing and testing electrical systems, ensuring safety compliance, and assisting in both mechanical and civil works. The role also includes supporting emergency operations, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained, and collaborating with other teams to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment on-site.

What will YOU do?

• Assist, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures on rotating heavy equipment, utilizing both hand tools and power tools
• Conduct thorough diagnoses of malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components on rotating heavy equipment using test equipment and hand tools
• Test electrical systems and the continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures on rotating heavy equipment using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure system compatibility, proper functionality, and adherence to safety standards.
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the proper location of wiring, equipment, and components on rotating heavy equipment, ensuring conformance to safety codes, industry standards, and operational requirements.
• Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors and other rotating machinery, ensuring secure and safe electrical connections for optimal equipment performance.
• Conduct the placement of conduits (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas on rotating heavy equipment, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduits to complete electrical circuits between boxes, ensuring proper installation and system functionality.
• Provide critical assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights, fire pumps, and generators on rotating heavy equipment, ensuring reliable power and lighting to support safety and operational needs in urgent situations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on rotating heavy equipment in assigned areas according to the established schedule, ensuring all safety protocols are followed, and promptly report any unsafe conditions to the Depot Engineering and Maintenance (DEMD) Officer to maintain a safe work environment.
• Ensure that all maintenance tools are properly organized and returned to their designated places after use, and provide assistance in pump repair and maintenance to ensure the optimal performance of rotating heavy equipment.
• Assist in civil and mechanical works related to the maintenance and repair of rotating heavy equipment, collaborating with team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of projects.

What will YOU need?

• Open to fresh graduates of bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or NCII Certified in Heavy Equipment Servicing (Mechanical)
• Experience as a diesel-engine mechanic is an advantage
• At least 1-2 years work experience in related role
• Willing to be assigned in Mabini, Batangas
