Job Summary
Assist the Accounting Manager in managing the day-to-day essential functions of the general accounting section by maintaining and preparing financial information, budget review and reporting analysis through accurate accounts and records.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and timely generation of monthly Financial Statements by ensuring that all transactions (revenue, payable, receivable, payroll, adjusting journal entries, liquidation journal entries) are posted in the accounting all reports are prepared on a timely basis meeting all deadlines. Facilitate the disbursement process, record the disbursement entries and prepare and ensure correct withholding taxes.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies; Generate financial statements and reports; Assist with audits and tax filings. Validates request for payments, ensure disbursements are with proper approval and supported by official receipts, invoices and other relevant documents. Performs general ledger account analysis, verification and monitoring of any discrepancies noted and coordinate the same to the concerned department for proper action. Record transactions, payments, expenses and invoices Prepare Bank reconciliation of online statements and allocation of shared expenses among departments. Assist in the compilation of departmental budget and forecast.
Assists in conducting surprise spot-checks on General Cashier’s float and on all Outlet Cashier’s float on a periodic basis in addition to spot-check performed by the General Cashier. Will also assist in the preparation and review of payroll and prepare report on payroll expenses. Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with regulations. Update general ledger and payroll files and participate in payroll audits and ensure compliance with governmental laws on payroll accounting and taxes
