Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Executive Sous Chef based in El Nido. The Executive Sous Chef will oversee food preparation, manage kitchen staff, ensure high culinary standards, and create and execute menus that highlight sustainable and locally sourced ingredients. The Executive Sous Chef will also be responsible for maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards, managing inventory, and training junior staff to foster a productive and efficient kitchen environment.

• Strong culinary skills, especially in preparing diverse and high-quality dishes
• Leadership abilities in managing kitchen staff and operations
• Experience in menu planning and inventory management
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Commitment to sustainability and using locally sourced ingredients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in a luxury destination
• Amenable to island living
• With existing eligibility/permits to work in the Philippines
