Responsibilities

• Supervise all regular accounting processes and monthly and annual closing process.
• Review the request for check preparation (RCP) for correct GL tagging and completeness of attachments prepared by the Accounts Payable Assistant; and endorse to the Financial Controller for approval.
• Review of all journal entries posted in SAP for accuracy and completeness of supporting documents.
• Review the monthly balance sheet reconciliation for accuracy and completeness of supporting documents for the approval of the Financial Controller.
• Prepare the monthly cash flow reports, contribution margin analysis, consolidated financial package (ConsoPack), salary and interco flatfile, among others.
• Review the accounts receivable ledger with complete aging and reconciliation between OPERA and SAP. 7. Review the accounts payable ledger with complete aging and reconciliation between MC and SAP.
• Review semi-monthly payroll entries and ensure accuracy and completeness of supporting documents. 9. Review the monthly bank reconciliation and ensure SAP balances match the bank records.
• Provide support to the Financial Controller in the monthly forecast preparation.
• Provide support to the Financial Controller in annual budget preparation.
• Provide support to annual external and internal audits.
• Train Accounting personnel for continuous development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of business course - Accountancy
• At least four (4) years of experience in General Accounting with proven experience in monthly and year-end closing process.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and familiarity to Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI)
• With keen attention to details.
• Flexible and can work under pressure particularly during month-end and year-end closing process.
• Self-motivated and results-driven.
• Experience in using Accounting softwares (preferably SAP).
