• Greet customers with a positive attitude and assist them as needed
• Operate cash registers, scanners, and POS (Point-of-Sale) systems
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy
• Resolve customer issues or escalate them to a manager when necessary
• Answer customer questions regarding store policies, products, or services
• Bag or package purchases and ensure items are handled with care
• Monitor and report any discrepancies or suspicious activity

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus
• Basic math and computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift light items (up to 25 lbs)
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
