Job Title: Accounting Manager (CPA)

Job Overview:

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s overall accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both Philippine and Japan-headquarters reporting requirements. This role involves managing monthly financial closing, annual audit and tax filings, and ensuring all financial statements and records are accurate and timely. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical ability, and a hands-on approach to process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Coordinate annual external audit and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory agencies.
• Manage tax compliance, including VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and other government filings.
• Review and improve accounting systems, internal controls, and procedures.
• Prepare reports and analyses to support management decision-making and reporting to Japan headquarters.
• Oversee and guide accounting staff, providing training and performance feedback as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) 
• Minimum of 5 years of solid accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration and information sharing.
• Ability to function in a deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Location: Preferably living in or near the Cabuyao area where the company is located.
• Preferably a non-smoker and without tattoos
• Fully vaccinated either with or without a booster
• Willingness to render overtime
• Willingness to be deployed under the agency until further assessment for direct hiring.
• Preferably not related to an existing employee of OMI

Salary range: 

• Below 10 years of experience: average 65K (depends on interview)
• 10 - 15 years of experience: average 70K (depends on interview)
• Over 15 years of experience: 90K - 200K (depends on interview)

• Work schedule: Monday to Friday (Saturday sometimes 800～1700)
