High-Performance QuickBooks Accountant/Bookkeeper

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a standard Accountant to take full ownership of our financial ecosystem. You will be responsible for ensuring 100% accuracy in QuickBooks, maintaining a seamless month-end close, and providing clear financial visibility to the executive team. This is a role for someone who loves clean data and hates disorganized ledgers.

KEY RESULTS (OUTPUTS)

Performance will be measured by the following "Output-Driven" KPIs:

• Zero-Error Reconciliation: 100% of bank and credit card statements reconciled within 5 business days of month-end.
• Audit-Ready Books: Categorization that adheres strictly to our Chart of Accounts with zero "Uncategorized" transactions.
• Financial Reporting: Delivery of a "Monthly Management Pack" (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) by the 10th of every month.
• Accounts Receivable (AR) Optimization: Maintaining a "Days Sales Outstanding" (DSO) of under [e.g., 30] days through proactive follow-ups.

Core Technical Skills

• QuickBooks Mastery: Deep experience with QBO (QuickBooks Online), including class/location tracking and custom reporting.
• Advanced Excel: Ability to use Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs to audit QBO data against external sources.
• SOP Adherence: Proven ability to maintain a "Financial SOP Manual" so that accounting processes are never person-dependent.
• Integrity: Absolute honesty in handling sensitive financial credentials and payroll data.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Manage A/P, A/R, and General Ledger entries directly in QuickBooks.
2. Data Integration: Monitor and troubleshoot automated feeds (Bank Feeds, Receipt Bank/Dext) to ensure no duplicate entries.
3. Payroll & Compliance: Process payroll accurately and ensure all statutory filings (e.g., GST/HST in Canada or local taxes in the PH) are prepared on time.
4. Process Automation: Implement and maintain QuickBooks "Rules" to reduce manual data entry by at least 50%.
