Descripción del trabajo

Kippap Learning Corp.  is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. We are an online learning platform specializing in review programs for the Civil Engineering Licensure Exam in the Philippines. Our ideal candidate is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong background in providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring robust compliance for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This is a vital role for us as we build our financial foundation from the ground up, so we are looking for a true partner, not just a service provider.

Qualifications

  • Education and Certification: Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the Philippines.

Responsibilities

Financial System Setup & Strategy

  • Collaborate with the management team to design and implement robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all financial processes, including sales recording, revenue recognition for installment payments, and expense tracking
  • Advise on and oversee the integration of online payment gateways and other business tools with cloud-based accounting software (Xero or QuickBooks)
  • Provide strategic guidance on business decisions by modeling financial scenarios and analyzing key metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and Lifetime Value (LTV)

Government Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing and remittance of all required government reports and contributions, including BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG Fund
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external audits or government inquiries, particularly potential BIR tax audits
  • Prepare and interpret monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement) and present them to management in a clear, easy-to-understand format

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Provide regular, constructive supervision to the in-house bookkeeper to ensure accuracy and completeness of daily financial records
  • Mentor accounting interns through hands-on training and guidance, helping them build skills for future leadership roles in financial analysis, process documentation, and strategic projects

Experience

  • Proven experience in a consulting or part-time accounting role with strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and accounting standards
  • Successful track record of guiding startups or small businesses through early-stage growth, emphasizing lean operations and scalable processes
  • Direct experience with BIR tax audit preparation and compliance (highly preferred)

Technical Skills

  • Expert proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (Xero or QuickBooks Online)
  • Familiarity with financial tools and integrations (e.g., payroll software, payment gateways)

Personal Attributes

  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to anticipate needs and identify improvements
  • Strong communication and teaching skills, able to simplify complex financial concepts for non-finance professionals
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to data integrity and accuracy
