Overview
ISS STOXX is hiring! We are looking for a Senior Tax Specialist who will be responsible for the timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other compliance reporting requirements for assigned subsidiaries of the Company.
Responsibilities
- Preparation, filing, and payment of tax returns and other compliance reporting requirements for subsidiaries/affiliates being handled
- Ensures accurate tax set-up in the computerized accounting system used by the assigned subsidiaries/affiliates
- Perform reconciliations between GL and tax returns to ensure accuracy
- Prepare and review tax calculations, estimates, accruals, and provisions
- Resolve and advise on tax issues/questions
- Provide tax audit support as required
- Coordinate with tax consultants and tax authorities on tax matters
- Conduct periodic tax compliance review
- Conduct research and assist in interpreting tax regulations, policies and procedures
- Regularly monitor tax regulation changes and assess impact to the business
- Handles tasks as assigned by immediate manager
- Any ad hoc responsibilities as and when required
Qualifications
Training & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with CPA qualification
- At least 6 years of tax-related work experience
- Experience in a major audit firm or multinational organization is an advantage
- Regional tax exposure in Asia Pacific, Europe or North America is preferred
- Proficiency in IT applications like Excel, Outlook, SAP, NetSuite
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills
- Well organized, thorough and detailed
- Good problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures, follow through on issues and prioritize effectively
- Highly motivated, able to work independently and with initiative
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines
Work Location & Schedule:
- Amenable to work in Ayala North Exchange Makati and on a hybrid work set-up (3x onsite per week)
- Amenable to work on a Traditional Shift Schedule (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, PHT)
