The Driver Recruitment Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, and onboarding qualified drivers to meet the company’s operational needs. This role ensures that all driver applicants meet company standards, legal requirements, and safety regulations. The specialist will work closely with the HR and Operations teams to maintain a steady pipeline of reliable and compliant drivers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified drivers.
  • Source candidates through job portals, referrals, social media, and community partnerships.
  • Conduct initial screening, interviews, and background checks for driver applicants.
  • Coordinate road tests, medical exams, and document verification (licenses, permits, etc.).
  • Maintain an organized database of applicants and recruitment activities.
  • Collaborate with the Operations and HR departments to forecast driver manpower needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and transportation standards.
  • Assist in driver orientation, onboarding, and initial training processes.
  • Monitor and report recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, applicant sources, and selection rates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with driving schools, transport associations, and local employment agencies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in recruitment, ideally within logistics, transport, or fleet management.
  • Knowledge of driver qualification standards, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
