Job Summary

The Engineering Manager is responsible in ensuring that production machines and equipment are reliable and maintained in good operating condition. He or she is also responsible in planning and in implementing all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities in the plant geared towards achieving optimal production output.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Directs the general operations of Engineering Department.
2. Develop programs to ensure the maximum utilization of machines/equipment.
3. Design and implement cost and energy reduction program.
4. Establishes monitoring mechanism and creates preventive maintenance programs on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis to avoid machine breakdown.
5. Initiates coordination meetings with all functional units on maintenance schedule and other productivity improvement plan.
6. Manages spare parts inventory planning and requisition.
7. Coordinates with Purchasing Department regarding spare parts requisition from time to time.
8. Attends immediately to all breakdowns and all other related troubles at the plant that may require engineering knowledge and expertise.
9. Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a reputable College or University.
• Must be a Licensed Mechanical / Electrical Engineer.
• At least 5-10 years related work experience in handling multiple Electro-Mechanical (PLC) production machines in a unionized environment.
• Has Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) training and Basic occupational Safety & Health (BOSH) training.
• Has good and strong leadership experience.
• With experience in quality control and improvements.
• Experience in Plastic Manufacturing Company.
• With foresight for foreseeable problems, Keen on details and Attentive.
• Has Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ingenious and creative.
