The DCX Client Services - Home-Based Controller will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. This person will train and oversee the client's accounting team in conjunction with the policies and procedures set by our Chief Accounting Officer. Further, this individual will manage/review all accounting functions for the Delegate team including month/quarter/year-end statements, bank and general ledger reconciliations, preparation of financial statements (modified cash basis, accrual and GAAP), trial balance, accounts payable and accounts receivable, partner distributions and purchase and sale transaction accounting.

Role Details

  • Industry: Real Estate
  • Work Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST (USA)
  • Workdays: Monday through Friday (USA)
  • Written and spoken English skill: Very Proficient
  • Salary Range: 145,000 - 150,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise the client's Delegate CX accounting team, whose responsibilities range from general ledger work to account receivable maintenance.
  • Responsible for the integrity of monthly results and preparation of all financial reporting for multiple entities of varying sizes for the deals handled by the client's Delegate CX accounting team.
  • Make sure that all financial statements are accurately reported and all journal entries are properly recorded to the right accounts.
  • Analyze various types of financial scenarios for proper decision-making by management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of monthly and other processes related to monthly accounting and closing and financial reporting.
  • Train and develop the client's Delegate CX accounting team members.
  • Interact with the client's asset management team, Chief Accounting Officer, and the client's Corporate Accounting team.
  • Present financial results to management monthly.


Additional Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Solid Fiinance Controller experience and must have multi-entity experience.
  • Proficiency in most Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Yardi, and/or Onesite/RealPage online system a desire
  • Strong working knowledge using Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas etc.
  • Understanding of economic principles, financial markets, and banking.
  • Understanding of financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Preferably a CPA.
  • Ability to develop good relationships with individuals and entities.
  • Must be a strategic thinker and a problem solver.
  • Must be a self-starter who takes initiative
