Position Overview:

We are building a private network of vetted, independent AI Application Engineer who take on client projects alongside us. Instead of spending time finding clients, we handle the client relationship entirely. You focus on building.

Every project comes with a detailed Product Requirements Document (PRD), so everything is well-defined from the start. No ambiguous briefs. No scope creep. You get full autonomy to manage your workflow, hire under you if needed, and run your operation however you want. We only interface with you, not your sub-contractors.

This is ongoing work, not a one-time project. If you are accepted into the network, you will have access to a steady flow of well-scoped projects at $35/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and deploy full web applications based on detailed PRDs provided by Sagan
• Develop backend logic, databases, and APIs to support product functionality
• Create clean, functional UIs that non-technical users can actually use
• Handle end-to-end delivery: from reading the brief to shipping a working product
• Manage your own schedule, workflow, and team (if applicable) to meet project timelines
• Communicate clearly and directly with the Sagan team on project status and delivery
• Use AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow to move faster and work smarter

Qualifications:

• Proven experience building and shipping full web applications, not just automations or workflows
• Strong backend skills: server-side logic, databases, APIs
• Comfortable with frontend work: building interfaces real users will interact with
• Able to take a well-scoped PRD and deliver independently with minimal back and forth
• Active user of AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent
• Entrepreneurial mindset: you run your own operation, whether solo or with a team

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with automation or workflow platforms (n8n, Make, or similar) as a secondary skill
• Track record of shipping AI-powered products or tools independently
• Experience working with international clients or remote-first teams
• Active in builder or AI engineering communities
