Job Summary:


The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all food products meet the highest quality and safety standards, complying with both internal policies and external regulations. This role oversees the implementation and management of quality assurance programs, conducts audits, and addresses product quality issues. The manager also ensures regulatory compliance with agencies such as NMIS, DENR, and FDA, while fostering continuous improvement in quality systems.


Quality Assurance and Control

1.   Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with NMIS, HACCP, GMP, and other regulatory frameworks.

2.   Supervise quality inspections and audits of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

3.   Oversee product testing, sampling, and evaluation to maintain consistency and meet quality benchmarks.


Regulatory Compliance

4.   Ensure compliance with national and international food safety and hygiene regulations, including NMIS, DENR/LLDA, FDA, and GMP.

5.   Act as the primary representative for audits and inspections, including NMIS LTO renewals, MTV applications, and client audits.

6.   Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for audits, regulatory compliance, and non-conformance reports.


Team Leadership and Training

7.   Lead the Quality Assurance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

8.   Provide training to staff on food safety regulations, quality standards, and GMP.

9.   Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement within the team.


Supplier and Customer Relation

10. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure the quality of raw materials.

11. Address customer complaints related to product quality, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions.

12. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality standards and expectations.


Operational Oversight

13. Conduct root cause analyses for quality issues and develop corrective and preventive action plans.

14. Oversee the traceability and recall management system to ensure effective responses in case of contamination or non-compliance.

15. Collaborate with production teams to optimize quality, minimize waste, and improve operational efficiency.
