As an Electrical Technician, you are responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment. This role ensures that all electrical systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards. The Electrical Technician works closely with engineers, contractors, and other technical staff to support various projects and maintain operational reliability.

Installation:

• Install electrical wiring, fixtures, outlets, and equipment according to codes and specifications.
• Set up and configure electrical systems for new construction, renovation, or equipment upgrades.

Maintenance:

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Identify and address potential issues to prevent system failures or safety hazards.

Repair:

• Diagnose electrical faults and malfunctions using testing devices and troubleshooting techniques.
• Repair or replace damaged wiring, components, or systems to restore functionality.

Testing and Evaluation:

• Conduct tests on electrical systems and components to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Evaluate system performance and make adjustments as needed.

Compliance:

• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.

Documentation:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Prepare reports and document any issues or changes made to electrical systems.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with engineers, architects, and other technical personnel to support project requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders.

• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety guidelines when working with electrical systems.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical technology is preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience as an electrical technician or similar role; familiarity with electrical systems, tools, and safety practices.

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications (e.g. Tower Climbing Certification, OSHA Safety Training Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH Training), Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Safety Certification or any related work regards to heights

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment or materials.
• Capability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
