Job Summary

The MSP Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities for Managed Service Provider (MSP) solutions through outbound prospecting and customer engagement. This role focuses on cold calling, lead qualification, and pipeline development while supporting sales teams by setting qualified appointments and maintaining accurate CRM records.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting, including cold calling, email outreach, and follow-ups, to generate new business opportunities.
  • Qualify leads by identifying client needs, business challenges, budget, and decision-makers.
  • Introduce and articulate MSP and SaaS-based solutions to prospective clients in a clear and consultative manner.
  • Schedule qualified sales meetings or demos for Account Executives or Sales Managers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, leads, and opportunities in CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk, or similar tools.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team outbound activity and lead-generation targets.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to support pipeline growth.
  • Follow established sales processes, scripts, and compliance guidelines.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on prospecting activity and pipeline status.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Sales or customer-facing experience, preferably in B2B, SaaS, or MSP environments.
  • Proven cold calling and outbound sales experience.
  • Hands-on experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk, HubSpot, or similar systems.
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and objection-handling skills.
  • Ability to work in a target-driven, fast-paced environment.


Preferred Skills

  • Background in SaaS sales, IT services, or managed solutions.
  • Familiarity with subscription-based or recurring revenue models.
  • Experience supporting global or offshore sales teams.
  • Basic understanding of IT services, cloud solutions, or business technology (training can be provided).
